Wesley Memorial UMC is stepping out of our comfort zone and allowing God to lead us in new ways of being church together. Take a look at what is happening at 2051 Heyward and way, way beyond our geographical center. We are a people in the Word(L)d.

As a small church we sometimes sink into an inferior complex like we're living in the shadow of bigger churches with no promise of a present or future for our church. We haven't totally shed the "we're dying" attitude--that has come to be our place of security and comfort we often resort to when worship attendance is down, no one shows up for bible study, or conflict arises. But the truth is that Wesley Memorial is a vital church, serving our community in many, many ways. It is true that we are not what we "used" to be size-wise, but Jesus changed the world with only 12 people. I do believe that God is doing something brand new with the people on the corner of Queen and Heyward; where there is a will--and there certainly that among a few at WMUMC--God will provide a way.
